Session 2: F2F Discuss

For this discussion, you’ll start with a small group and then talk as a full class.

• Small Group:

  Working in small groups of 3–4, explain your infographic and then discuss the similarities and differences you see. Next, discuss which step(s) you think might be the most challenging to facilitate as a teacher. Agree upon one challenging step to share with the full group.

• Full Group:

  Begin by having each small group share the step they agreed would be the most difficult to facilitate as a teacher, and write them on the board. As a class, work together to brainstorm some strategies to address the challenges.

By the way, sharing teaching challenges and brainstorming strategies to overcome them is something that professional teachers do ALL THE TIME! They talk with the teacher in the classroom next door, in small planning meetings, and even in the break room or copy room.
