Session 4: Introduction
Several years ago, The New York Times asked college presidents and business leaders to share what students need to know by the end of college. The importance of asking good questions came up several times! When teachers ask the good questions, it is called “teacher-led inquiry.” When students ask the good questions, it is considered “student-led inquiry.” Both approaches work for inquiry-based learning, and as you can see, helping students learn how to ask good questions is something teachers can build-in to their lessons. In this session, you’ll learn how teachers can help students ask good questions.
